This specimen was lot 9138 in Ponterio sale 151 (Baltimore, November 2009), where it sold for $1265. The catalog description[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR. Provisional Coinage. Real, 1835. Obverse: POR LA LIBERTAD DEL SAL : Reverse: MONEDA PROVISIONAL. 1835 Ex: Ponterio & Associates Auction #65 October 1993, lot #535. Extremely nice for this type. Some small, natural planchet flaws, soft strike in centers, full legends. Attractive, probably EXTREMELY FINE."
