This specimen was lot 22158 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. 500 Pesos, 1992. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Commemorating the 500th anniversary of the evangelization and Columbian discovery of America, this seemingly flawless piece presents a great cameo nature through highly mirrored fields and frosted devices." This NCLT was minted at Ottawa under contract. The obverse features Columbus's tomb in Santo Domingo, where he is allegedly buried.
Recorded mintage: 2,000 plus 35 in platinum.
