This specimen was lot 40134 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. 500 Pesos, 1989. PCGS PROOF-62 DEEP CAMEO Gold Shield. Struck for the 500th Anniversary of the discovery and evangelization of America with a mintage of only 600 pieces. Deeply cameoed with haze free surfaces. Scattered instances of handling determine the grade."
