Stack's Bowers 2021 ANA sale, lot 44313

This specimen was lot 44313 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Peso, 1974. NGC MS-69. Struck for the 12th Central American and Caribbean Games. A blast white and fully lustrous coin." By the time this NCLT was issued, silver pesos no longer circulated. This one was strictly for collectors.

Recorded mintage: 50,000 + 5,000 proofs.

Specification: 26.7 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
