This specimen was lot 71657 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $40. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Peso, 1972. NGC MS-66. A rich Gem example, this commemorative issue offers strong details and much pleasing appeal." This NCLT was struck using the module of a United States silver dollar.
Recorded mintage: 27,000 plus 3,000 proofs.
Specification: 26.7 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
