Dominican Republic 1969 peso

The specimen shown is from a type struck for the Dominican Republic in 1969 to honor the 125th anniversary of independence. It is the first copper-nickel peso from the republic. It is common despite the small mintage.

Recorded mintage: 30,000.

Specification: 26.7 g, copper nickel, 38 mm diameter.
