from the Stack's Bowers June 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 70658

This specimen was lot 70658 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICA. 150 Dollars, 1979. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Struck to commemorate the Israel and Egypt Peace Treaty. A lovely, SCARCE Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This NCLT was accompanied by a silver twenty dollars (KM 17), both struck in Switzerland. All of Dominica's coinage is comprised of commemoratives.

Recorded mintage: 100 plus 100 proofs.

Specification: 9.60 g, 0.900 fine gold.
