Denmark 1690 krone rev H3026-24445.jpg

This specimen was lot 24445 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Christian V Krone (4 Mark) 1690-CW, XF45 NGC, nicely toned and original, very scarce type featuring a half bust of the King." This type is accompanied by another krone (Dav-3642) bearing the king's monogram. It is scarce. Many would not class this as a crown, being too light, but it has a Davenport number so we will include it.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.671 fine silver, 39.3 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 400; Dav-3640.
