This specimen was lot 30476 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $352.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Frederik III 2 Skilling 1665-(Clover), obverse legend reads clockwise from bottom, MS63 NGC. A remarkable example of this type, lightly toned, with substantial remaining mint luster in the fields. Although the other obverse legend variety is more scarce, few examples of any variety approach this quality." This type is listed for 1665-66. Two skillings were minted throughout the seventeenth century and issues after 1624 were billon. Ninety six skilling danske made a specie daler.
