from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10224

This specimen was lot 10224 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €312 (about US$325). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Mark, 1658. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU Details--Edge Damage. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1658-61. Two mark was half a krone or one-third speciedaler.

Specification: 11.13 g, 0.671 fine silver, 33.2 mm diameter, this specimen 10.46 g.
