This specimen was lot 10097 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €125 (about US$130). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling, 1611. Copenhagen Mint. Christian IV. NGC EF-40. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck at Copenhagen 1603-13 and was worth 1/48 speciedaler. Christian IV (r. 1588-1648) had a long but only moderately successful reign. His war with Sweden and his intervention in the Thirty Years War were costly and brought little gain.
