from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10058

This specimen was lot 10058 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €960 (about US$1,001). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. Mark, 1546. Christian III. NGC AU Details--Tooled. With environmental damage and heavily cleaned; all Marks from Christian III are rare. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex. Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922)." At this time, one gulden was three mark or 48 skilling.

Specification: 9.6 g, 0.843 fine silver, 30.5 mm diameter. This specimen 9.07 g.
