This specimen was lot 52139 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $5,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 3 Krone, ND (1746). Copenhagen Mint. Frederik V. NGC MS-61. An extremely thick one-year issue commemorating the death of Christian VI and the accession of Frederik V, this Mint State specimen offers some enchanting brilliance remaining in the fields and displays some subtle frosting imparted unto the devices. The only such instance of this type in the NGC census." The SCWC attributes this death commemorative to 1747.
