Künker Auction 439, lot 2026

This specimen was lot 2026 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,577 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DÄNEMARK, KÖNIGREICH Christian V., 1670-1699. 1/2 Dukat o. J. (1696), Kopenhagen. Münzmeister Christian Wineke. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Attraktives Exemplar mit feiner Goldtönung, fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Sammlung Münzen und Medaillen aus adeligem Privatbesitz. (kingdom of Denmark, Christian V, 1670-99, undated half ducat, circa 1696, Copenhagen mint. Extremley rare, attractive example with fine gold patina, about extremely fine.)"
