The first specimen was lot 8196 in Ponterio sale 160 (Baltimore, June 2011), where it sold for $517.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, (15)82. Frederick II (1559-88). Toned. EXTREMELY FINE." The second specimen was lot 10074 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €1,140 (about US$1,188). The catalog description[2] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, 1582. Frederiksborg Mint. Frederik ll. NGC MS-63. Attractive example with crisp strike and brilliant bright luster. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was also struck in 1583.
