This specimen was lot 10136 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €2,318 (about US$2,672). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 4 Skilling, 1544. Copenhagen Mint. Christian III. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. An attractive example of this rare coin, with an agreeable, subtle cabinet toning. It has a good strike with remaining surface luster. From the L.E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1544 only and had a face value of 1/12 gulden.
