This specimen was lot 74271 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $89. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling Lybsk, ND (1624-30). Gluckstadt Mint. Christian IV. PCGS VF-30. Wire Money." This and the accompanying four skilling lybsk seem to have been an experiment in striking Russian style wire money. Numista states 2 Skilling Lybsk = 4 Skilling Dansk = 1/21 speciedater. Many varieties exist. The dies were bigger than the planchet (a piece of wire) so most have part of the legends missing.
