This specimen was lot 71515 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. Danzig. 5 Pfennig, 1932. NGC MS-65. This is the Free City issue. A clear gem with stellar original color and luster. Aluminum-bronze striking." Danzig, long part of Prussia and then Germany, was briefly independent 1919-39. Annexed by the Nazis, it fell to Poland in 1945 and was renamed Gdansk. This is a fairly common one year type.

Recorded mintage: 4,000,000.

Specification: 2 g, aluminum bronze, 18 mm diameter.
