Frederick V. NGC AU Details--Cleaned." This type was struck 1763-65 along with a 6 skilling and 12 skilling. Few of the European powers bothered to strike coinage for their colonies in the Caribbean; the economic theory of the day suggested that colonies should be a source of bullion, not a drain.

Catalog reference: KM-9.
