This specimen was lot 1551 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "VENETIAN DALMATIA & ALBANIA: Republic of Venice, AE soldo, ND (1796-97), Lion of St. Mark, a lovely mostly red lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS63 RB, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." Venice held Dalmatia from medieval times to the end of the republic in 1797, when it passed to Austria.
