This specimen was lot 72044 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Venice. Dalmatia & Albania. 2 Soldi (Gazzetta), ND (1684-91). NGC VF-30. Struck for Venice's possessions across the Adriatic Sea, Dalmatia and Albania, this moderately handled example features deep reddish-brown surfaces." Venice held Dalmatia from medieval times to the end of the republic in 1797, when it passed to Austria.
