This specimen was part of lot 22145 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $9,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "CZECH REPUBLIC. Proof Set (4 Pieces), 1997. Czech (Jablonec nad Nisou) Mint. All NGC Certified. Bohemian Crown series. 1) 10000 Korun. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Fr-1; KM-21. Mintage: 1,500. Pragergroschen. 2) 5000 Korun. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Fr-2; KM-20. Mintage: 1,700. Bohemian Small Groschen. 3) 2500 Korun. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Fr-3; KM-19. Mintage: 1,700. Moravian Taler. 4) 1000 Korun. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Fr-4; KM-18. Mintage: 2,250. Silesian 3 Ducats. From the Augustana Collection." This type was struck in small numbers 1995-97. This NCLT honors the pragergroschen, an important coin of the late Middle Ages.
