This specimen was lot 33627 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $870. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cuba: Republic gold "Pinta" 100 Pesos 1981 MS70 NGC. From the El Don Diego Luna Collection." An early NCLT from Castro's Cuba, which issued a flood later when the shortage of foreign exchange became acute.

Recorded mintage: est. 2,000.
