Costa Rica 1892-H 10 centavos

This type was struck at the Heaton mint for Costa Rica 1889-92. The type is not rare in circulated condition and is the last ten centavos piece struck under the peso system. Costa Rica officially switched from the peso to the colon in 1897, which currency was reformed again in 1917 and 1920.

Recorded mintage: 140,000.

Specification: 2.5 g, 0.750 fine silver, .060 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
