The first specimen was lot 826 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, December 2009), where it sold for $172.50. The catalog description noted, "ARGENTINA. Province of Cordoba. ¼ Real, 1839 PP. Castle over date, 'P-P' flanking. Rv. Radiant sun. Extremely Fine." This is the most common of the three known dates, 1839-41. The coinage for Cordoba runs 1833-54.
