This specimen was lot 44113 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/4 Real, 1839. Bogota Mint. EF-45 (PCGS). Well struck and attractively toned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Bogotá and Popayán 1837-48.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a rare date.
