This specimen was lot 2930 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $1,323. The catalog description[1] noted, "Colombia. 8 Escudos, 1825-JF (Bogotá). Liberty head left. Reverse: Crossed bow, arrows and cornucopiae. NGC graded AU-53." This type was struck at Popayán 1822-36 and at Bogotá 1822-38. It was superseded by the quasi-decimal 16 pesos issued at both mints 1837-49. Both types are common enough that some attempt to collect complete date sets.
