This specimen was lot 24485 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $8,812.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Philip IV cob 4 Reales 1662 NR-PoR, Nuevo Reino mint, almost XF. With appealing old toning over unmolested surfaces, and well struck over a roundish flan allowing most of the circular legends to be present. Classified as a subtype by Restrepo based on the different crowns over the pillars, this is a choice specimen of a rare type, with a nice pedigree to boot as the plate coin in both KM and Restrepo. Ex: Ponterio (1/2004, lot 1629)."
