Sincona sale 85, lot 2117

This specimen was lot 2117 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA, 10 Yuan 1985, Shanghai Mint. Panda. FDC, In Originalverschweissung, Uncirculated. In original capsule."

The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more. Other ten yuan for 1985 include KM 114, KM 119, KM 127 and KM 128.

Recorded mintage: 143,062.

Specification: 3.11 g, 0.999 fine gold, this specimen 3.12 g.
