This specimen was part of lot 30299 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $9,000. The catalog description[1] noted, "Chile, Republic 6-Piece Uncertified gold & silver Proof Set 1968, 1) 5 Pesos, KM 182; 2) 10 Pesos, KM 183; 3) gold 50 Pesos, KM 184; 4) gold 100 Pesos, KM 185; 5) gold 200 Pesos, KM 186; 6) gold 500 Pesos, KM 187; KM-PS1. A complete mint set displaying sharp cameo contrasts. Sold with case of issue and COA #87. Total AGW approx. 5.0 oz." Agustín Arturo Prat Chacón (1848-79) was a Chilean lawyer and navy officer. He was killed in the Battle of Iquique, during the War of the Pacific. This NCLT, one of the last issued before the collapse of the democratic regime, was accompanied by silver ten pesos and gold fifty, hundred, two hundred and five hundred pesos.
