Chile 1915 10 centavos rev DSLR.jpg

This type was struck in Chile 1915-19. Altho the ten centavos or one décimo was issued extensively in the nineteenth century, inflation eroded its value, forcing the mint to shrink and debase the coin. The denomination was converted to copper-nickel in 1920, abandoning silver.

Recorded mintage: 1,620,000.

Specification: 1.5 g, 0.450 fine silver, 17 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 156.3.
