The first specimen was lot 6639 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 10 Centavos, 1919-So. Santiago Mint. PCGS MS-67. A well struck and lustrous example with a lovely russet hue on both sides. Tied for the finest certified by PCGS, this Superb Gem is also a KEY DATE for the series and should attract a premium bid." This type was struck 1908-09, 1913 and 1919-20. The minor coinage was subject to frequent manipulations of alloy and a ten centavos was also struck in 0.450 fine silver (KM 156.3) in 1919.
