This type was struck in Chile 1904 and 1908. Altho the centavo was issued extensively in the nineteenth century, inflation eroded its value until it was terminated with an issue of 1919.

Recorded mintage: 174,000.

Specification: 3.5 g, copper, 20 mm diameter.
