This specimen was lot 3726 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $309.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE: Republic, AR 50 centavos, 1905-So, lustrous, lightly toned, NGC graded MS63." This type was struck 1902-05. It was accompanied by a silver five centavos (KM 155.2), ten centavos (KM 156.2) and a peso (KM 152.2). This specimen realized six times the catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 1,075,000.
