This specimen was lot 26420 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 10 Pesos 1866-So, AU, nicer than most with little wear and eye-appealing orange-gold highlights on both sides." This specimen was one of a series struck 1854-67 in Santiago, Chile. An earlier and a later type exist (KM 123 and KM 145), with slightly different designs for the arms and the standing Liberty. The SCWC does not give this date a premium.
