Ceylon attained her independence in 1948 after the British left India and is now known as Sri Lanka. This type was struck 1919-26 and is common. It is a debased version of a type issued 1911-17.

Recorded mintage: 600,000.

Specification: 2.92 g, .550 fine silver, .051 troy oz ASW.
