This specimen was lot 3370 in Goldberg sale 62 (Beverly Hills, February 2010), where it sold for $414. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cape Verde. 2500 Escudos, 1976. First Anniversary of Independence. Amilcar Lopes Cabral. NGC graded Proof 66 Ultra Cameo." Cape Verde obtained its independence from Portugal in 1975.
