This specimen was lot 33722 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada: Elizabeth II gold Proof "Iris Versicolor" 350 Dollars 2006 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, Royal Canadian mint. Absolute perfection graces this stunning entry in the provincial flowers series." The profits extracted from the manufacture and sale of NCLT's caused the Royal Canadian Mint to scramble for ever more arcane topics, including this series of 2001-11 honoring Canadian flowers.
