Aureo y Calicó sale 422, lot 3205

This specimen was lot 3205 in Aureo y Calicó sale 422 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 20 € (about US$26 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Canadá. 1986. Isabel II. 1 dólar. Centenario de la llegada del primer tren transcontinental a Vancouver. Rayitas por limpieza. AG. S/C- [centennial of the arrival of the transcontinental railroad in Vancouver. Hairlined from cleaning, about uncirculated]." In 1987, the nickel dollar and the paper dollar were dropped in favor of the "loonie" (KM 157).

Recorded mintage: 125,949 plus proofs.

Specification: 23.32 g, 0.500 fine silver, this specimen 23,28 g.
