This specimen was lot 20724 in Heritage sale 3008 (New York, January 2010), where it sold for $3,737.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Dollar 1948, MS64 PCGS, fully brilliant with exceptionally nice surfaces and light amber patina beginning to emerge in the legends. Rare quality for this ever-popular date."

Recorded mintage: 18,780.

Specification: 0.800 fine silver, .600 troy oz ASW, designed by T. H. Paget and Emanuel Hahn.
