This type was struck for George VI 1937-47 and this is a common date. In 1948, "ET IND IMP" was dropped from the obverse legend (KM 44) and the modified type was issued 1948-52. Silver was removed from the quarter in 1968. This specimen was part of lot 33820 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), which sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Six Piece Specimen Set 1937, KM-SS35. This is the scarcer set with mirror-like fields consisting of Cent to Dollar. Housed in its original case from the Canadian mint in Ottawa. Reported mintage of 75 Specimen Sets."
