This specimen was lot 51197 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $930. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1929. Ottawa Mint. George V. PCGS SPECIMEN-65 Brown. VERY RARELY encountered in such an elevated state of preservation and as a specimen striking, this exceptional Gem glistens with reddish-brown hues and hints of cobalt, all while a sharp strike augments its appeal that much more." This type, struck at Ottawa 1920-36, is common in all grades tho the years 1922-25 are scarce.
