This specimen was lot 13082 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $999. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 25 Cents, 1915. PCGS AU-53." This type was struck 1912-19 at the Ottawa mint. This date is the key for the type. In 1920, the silver content was lowered to 0.800 fine but the design remained unchanged (KM 24a).

Specification: 5.83 g, 0.925 fine silver, .173 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
