This specimen was lot 40037 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,645. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Sovereign, 1910-C. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder." The type was struck in Ottawa 1908-10 and this is the most common of the three dates. George V sovereigns (KM 20) were struck 1911-19.
Recorded mintage: 28,012.
Specification: 7.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, .235 troy oz AGW.
