This specimen was lot 32599 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "Edward VII gold Sovereign 1909-C AU58 PCGS. A highly sought after Sovereign from the Ottawa, (C), mint. Mintage of 16,273 pieces, and many of those are of lower grades. The coin here exhibits just a touch of wear and strong golden color." The type was struck in Ottawa 1908-10. George V sovereigns (KM 20) were struck 1911-19.
