Canada 1903 10 cents

from the Stack's Bowers October 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 70329

This specimen was lot 70329 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $312. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CANADA. 10 Cents, 1903. London Mint. Edward VII. PCGS AU-55. A KEY DATE that is always desirable, this minor presents very little in the way of handling and sports a rather attractive tone as well." This type was struck at London and Heaton 1902-10. Despite the substantial mintage, this is the scarcest date.

Specification: 2.32 g, 0.925 fine silver, .069 troy oz ASW, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
