This specimen was lot 70202 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 5 Cents, 1903-H. Heaton Mint. NGC MS-64. Small H over Small H. This is a most elusive Canadian 5 Cents variety. Additionally a bright white coin with blast white luster." This type was struck 1902-10 for Edward VII. This date is common even if the variety cited in the description is rare. The silver five cents was converted to nickel in 1922.

Recorded mintage: 2,640,000.

Specification: 1.15 g, 0.925 fine silver, 15.5 mm diameter.
