Canada 1904 5 cents
This specimen was lot 29461 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $493.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Edward VII 5 Cents 1904 MS64 PCGS, London mint. A silky example with lightly-toned surfaces and wonderfully-bold design motifs. A small, yet impressive piece with an appreciable amount of underlying luster that meanders the surfaces and open areas that are seemingly free of any discernible marks. Pleasing in this near-Gem designation." This type was struck 1902-10 for Edward VII. This date is common but not in this quality. The silver five cents was converted to nickel in 1922.
