This specimen was lot 6548 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 5 Cents, 1887/7. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. An argent and largely untoned coin, showing a few hairlines on both sides. A small knob on the top left of the "7" is evidence for an overpunched digit." This type was struck 1858 and 1870-1901 in substantial quantities and most dates are fairly plentiful up to Extremely Fine. The 1887 is fairly scarce.
