This specimen was lot 1963 in Goldberg sale 112 (Los Angeles, September 2019), where it sold for $108. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 5 Cents, 1886. Victoria. Large 6. Toned with a trace of luster. PCGS graded AU-53." This type was struck 1858 and 1870-1901 in substantial quantities and most dates are fairly plentiful up to Extremely Fine. The 1886 is fairly common for a middle date. The large and small 6 varieties are priced about the same.
Recorded mintage: 1,700,000.
